Jay Fitch, PhD

Jay FitchDr. Jay Fitch is internationally recognized for leadership as a consultant, educator and innovator in the fields of EMS and public safety. His body of work, spanning nearly 40 years, includes the development and implementation of original operational and strategic solutions for individual organizations, as well as the broader systems in which they operate. Dr. Fitch s knowledge of the industry and his expertise in organizational development is built on real-world experience. He was among the first paramedics trained in the USA and was named EMS Director in St. Louis at the age of 24. He was responsible for the operational implementation of the Kansas City EMS system and served as president of a large private ambulance service. Since creating Fitch & Associates, he has personally led numerous complex projects reflecting the entire public safety spectrum, with results that have transformed emergency care for those communities.

From these varied experiences, Dr. Fitch learned to value many perspectives from patient to caregiver to public official that go into creating exemplary EMS/public safety programs. Since 1984, he and the consulting team at Fitch & Associates have worked with small and large organizations throughout the world, helping make sense of their current situations and providing a path toward greater success. In recent years, additional business entities under the MedServ name have been created to meet evolving client needs.

With a doctorate degree in Organizational Psychology, Dr. Fitch is in demand as a speaker and author. He has held academic appointments at The George Washington University, The University of Kansas and Royal Roads University (Canada). Dr. Fitch has written and spoken extensively, contributing hundreds of articles and seminars to enhance the profession. He was the lead author for the highly regarded textbook Beyond the Street: A Handbook for EMS Leadership and Management and was the editor of Prehospital Care Administration, the popular collection of essays and case studies currently in its second edition. His community activities included serving for more than a decade on the Board of Directors of a municipal fire district and a suburban Kansas City healthcare facility. Dr. Fitch is a long-term member of the International City and County Management Association, has authored several ICMA member reports on emergency services and has served on its annual conference program committee. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves on the Editorial Boards of JEMS (Journal of Emergency Medical Services) and Best Practices in Emergency Services.

Mike Touchstone, BS, EMT-P

Mike TouchstoneMike Touchstone is the Regional Director at the Philadelphia Office of Emergency Medical Services. He has been involved in EMS since 1980 and earned paramedic certification in 1983. Mr. Touchstone started his career as a volunteer in a third service ambulance corps, and worked in paid third service and hospital based EMS systems before joining the Philadelphia Fire Department in 1989. While with the Philadelphia Fire Department, Mr. Touchstone served as the EMS Training Chief, CQI officer, field supervisor, EMS instructor, and served as an AHA BLS Training Center Faculty. Mike was also a contract instructor at the National Fire Academy where he taught "Management of EMS . He has presented at local, regional, national and international EMS conferences. Mike Touchstone is a published author and holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from the George Washington University where he completed the EMS Management program.

Dave Page, MS, NREMT-P

Dave PageDave is a full time paramedic instructor at Inver Hills Community College and a field paramedic with Allina EMS in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota. He started his career in 1985 with Maryland Fire-Rescue as a volunteer for Bethesda Chevy-Chase Rescue Squad. He has over 28 years of active EMS street experience. He was recognized as one of the 2012 EMS 10 Innovators for his role in creating the Saint Paul Fire Department s EMS academy and Freedom House BLS unit, a project focused on helping low-income inner city youth succeed. Dave was awarded the prestigious Minnesota State Colleges and Universities "Educator of the Year" award in 2011, and the National Association of EMS Educators "Legends that walk among us" award in 2009. He is a site visitor for the Committee on Accreditation of EMS Programs, and faculty for the NAEMSE-CoAEMSP evaluation workshop. Dave holds a Master of Science degree in education from Minnesota State University. He authors a monthly research review column in the Journal of Emergency Medical Services (JEMS) and serves on the advisory board for the journal. He is a charter member of the National Association of EMS Educators (NAEMSE) and a current board member of the UCLA Pre-Hospital Care Research forum. Dave is co-author of the textbook The Paramedic by McGraw-Hill and co-creator of FISDAP, a national web based EMS tracking, research and testing project.

Ryan P. Greenburg, MBA, NREMT-P, EMD

Ryan GreenbergRyan Greenberg has spent the past nearly 20 years working in EMS from EMT to Chief of EMS. Ryan has focused his career on building hospital based EMS systems across the northeast while always remaining an active Paramedic, Fire Fighter, Educator and EMS Advocate. Ryan received his undergraduate degree from Babson College and his Master s Degree from Seton Hall University. Ryan currently is the EMS Division Chief for a regional trauma center located in Northern New Jersey and sits as a Board Member for the National EMS Management Association.

Chris Cebollero, MS

CebolleroNationally recognized EMS leader, author and advocate, Chris Cebollero is also the EMS Chief for Christian Hospital s EMS division where he has reshaped the division over his tenure to progressively reflect the best practices of the industry. In 2014 became a Certified Member of The John Maxwell Team. He is currently the Host of the EMS Leadership Podcast on EMS Radio, Host of the World of EMS Podcast for EMS World, and Host of the Inside EMS Podcast on EMS1.

Daniel Limmer

Daniel LimmerDan Limmer is a photojournalist, documentary photographer and author living in Kennebunk Maine. His photographs have appeared in newspapers and magazines around the country. He has been involved in the emergency services for 32 years and is the author of more than a dozen textbooks for emergency medical services personnel. He is a frequent and in-demand speaker at EMS conferences around the United States. He consults in medical-legal cases and EMS system training and development.

Rom Duckworth

DuckworthRom Duckworth is a dedicated emergency responder and award-winning educator with more than twenty-five years of experience working in career and volunteer fire departments, public and private emergency services and hospital healthcare systems. Currently a career fire Captain and field paramedic, Rom is an emergency services advocate, frequent speaker at national conferences and a contributor to research, magazines, & textbooks on topics of operations, leadership, and emergency services education.

Rob Wagoner, BSAS, NREMT-P

Rob WagonerRob Wagoner is responsible for quality and standards of NREMT programs with an emphasis on test item development. Mr. Wagoner has nearly three decades with the NREMT involving cognitive and psychomotor examination development and implementation. Mr. Wagoner is a recipient of numerous awards of excellence during his tenure at the NREMT. Mr. Wagoner holds a Bachelors of Science in Applied Sciences from Youngstown State University.

Kyle David Bates, MS

BatesEMS educator and program developer with an expansive background in EMS, Kyle David Bates earned his Master s degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, where he majored in Emergency Health Services Education, and a Bachelor s degree from Rochester Institute of Technology in Biomedical Photographic Communications.

He speaks at EMS conferences throughout the United States and Canada and is also an author writing for textbooks, websites, and national magazines. Kyle is also the founder and Chairman of First Few Moments, incorporated, a not-for-profit corporation focused on the education of first responders. Currently they are working on launching the flagship course First Few Moments: managing the scene of a motor vehicle crash with an associated textbook.

Jonathon Feit, MBA

Jonathon FeitJonathon Feit is Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Beyond Lucid Technologies (www.beyondlucid.com). A widely published marketing expert focused on new media and the strategic use of information technology, Jonathon has presented to audiences at Health 2.0, the mHealth Summit, the Skolkovo Foundation (Moscow), and Young Inventors International, among others In 2009, Jonathon was honored to serve as an MBA Intern in the White House Office of Management & Budget (Performance and Personnel Management division), where he helped spearhead the redesign and relaunch of USAJOBS.gov the Face of Federal Hiring. He is a member of the National Press Club, with an extensive consumer business and trade publications list that includes Forbes.com, BusinessWeek.com, Mediabistro.com, Advertising Age, EMS World, and The Health Care Blog. Jonathon holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business, and a Combined BA/MA cum laude in Psychology, Religion, and Conflict Negotiations from Boston University. He earned graduate certificates in Mediation from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at the Pepperdine School of Law, and in Entrepreneurship Development from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Mike Bowen

Michael BowenMike Bowen has worked at Fisdap since December 2009, initially as an exam coordinator and now as the Director of Testing. Mike gets out of bed every morning with the drive to research paramedic student behaviors and investigate what the ideal configuration of a competent matriculating or graduating paramedic student looks like. Mike received his paramedic education from Inver Hills Community College, where he now occasionally steps in as a substitute instructor. Mike also enjoys having an active lifestyle and traveling with his family.
